This is the moment we pulled Lanny free from the tiny space he crawled into. All in all it was a 6 hour operation of the team waiting, planning, fashioning equipment from everything we had in our trucks and doing tbe rescue. I think the SES would be proud of us Lanny is a big boy and not only has mange but was attacked and lost a huge chunk of skin across his back. Forest is alive and doing well. Our newly built burrow in our RSPCA enclosure is small and not t-junctioned so that we can get to them quickly if we need to. The burrow is about 5° cooler than the outside in full sun and much more now that there is shade-cloth over thanks to our handy volunteers and the @rspca_act staff who helped install it yesterday for him. We also wet the ground inside and he has dug this deeper to get to that really cool soil. He ate all the grass our volunteers brought him
