Today marks the 107th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry Division’s beginnings on Oct. 26, 1917. We have left our blood on the trenches of France during WWI, the battlefields of Germany during WWII, the mountains of the Korean peninsula during the Korean War, and the sand of Iraq during OIF. Today we, as the only forward stationed Combined Division in the U.S. Army, still stand in defense of freedom.
