These give the stretched canvas a little extra tightness. 2. Brush some water on the back. Once it dries, it tightens the canvas even further. These two alone will turn a slaggy canvas tight as a drum. 3. Put cardboard on the back, between the canvas and the stretcher bar. This will prevent bar marks from showing
