Apr 27, 2022 · Card(s) were fine, bank authorized, and Sony denied every single time. When I was finally able to chat with PS Direct support (which is a whole ordeal to even find a contact option) they escalated my case and I got an email a day later saying they were sorry and to try again when more stock became available.

It's quite stupid that, for whatever reason, playstation direct and PlayStation and PSN are treated like separate entities like this. What could possibly be the reason a payment method cannot be stored on playstation direct, yet a shipping address can be saved?

Apparently Sony has already made all the money they want to make from scalpers & said to hell with the rest of their loyal customers. After the poor mishandling of these events by Sony, & over two years after the PS5 release, i'm beginning to think it's not worth it anymore. I'm now debating on going with a gaming PC or Xbox series X instead.

I think the Sony Direct is literally an absolute gamble. I have a higher trophy score than almost everyone on my friends list, and have spent too much money on PSN, and still haven’t been selected in any of the raffles. A friend got selected twice and missed the login time both times. And Sony says they pick people based on PlayStation interests.

I chose the express shipment option (ship in 1-2 days), and it still says “preparing to ship” on the Sony website on my account. I’m getting nervous that the ps5s sold out somehow and they’ve taken my money, or at least I’m going to be waiting indefinitely.

Sony.direct.PlayStation is legit but the website that op is referencing is Sony-direct-PlayStation which is a scam. Just talked to my bank and if you put your card info in but didn’t hit send like me, apparently you still need to cancel your card because I guess these websites can still get your info by taking a snap shot.

Jul 26, 2021 · They just ran out of stock that fast. Much as I hate to do it, I had my payment and shipping info saved everywhere I could beforehand. In future, in a separate tab (before clicking the link if you get another from PS direct) go ahead and log into PS store. And lastly, follow, with push notifications, lord of restocks on Twitter.

Feb 21, 2023 · Good luck. I've had an issue with a bum Sony 4K disk, going on a month to get a replacement. I was directed to fill out a long questionnaire about my equpiment, purchase info, nature of the malfunction, etc. Include pix, screenshots, receipts, etc.
