After thinking for 2 hours, I tried to do this. - Enable Dual-band Smart Connect 2.4ghz + 5ghz option in Wireless => General. (you know what I mean) - Tri-band Smart Connect does not work (current 42026 firmware)

May 9, 2023 · For reference: The router is the GT-AXE16000. Running 388.2_2_rog merlin. What I have attempted so far: Separate all the bands and assign them different SSID, Same issue. Same SSID across the band without Smart Connect, Same Issue. Same SSID with Smart Connect, Same issue.
Upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 or wait for Wi-Fi 6E: which Asus router to get?
Jul 21, 2020. #3. 6E will not improve range. If anything, range on the 6 GHz channels may be less than 5 GHz. You'll need 6E devices to benefit from a 6E router. Over time, your "legacy" 2.4/5 GHz devices may benefit from traffic moving over to the new channels. Tim Higgins.

Oct 18, 2023 · It almost seems like a Wi-Fi 7 router being used as a 6E would be a better option than any of the poorly-priced 6E offerings, but early reviews on the Wi-Fi 7 routers seem pretty terrible. I'd also like something aesthetically pleasing or neutral, and would like to avoid the atrocious arachnid "gamer" routers if I can.

Jan 27, 2024. #1. Hi all, Got my hands on the S24 Ultra and found out that it can't detect nor connect to the 6Ghz band on my Asus RT-BE96U. It can detect my 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands as Wifi 7-capable (They've both got the little Wifi 7 icon showing in Available Networks) but once I connect to either band, the little Wifi 7 icon switches to Wifi 6.
