Police said a woman had been hit in the face with a gun and robbed of her gun near the intersection of Pendleton Pike and Shadeland Avenue.

The fire was reported around 2 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of South Grant Street, near South Ohio and East Gray streets.

Asphyxiation was initially thought to have caused the 14-year-old's death, but after an autopsy that theory was ruled out.
