Oklahoma City Thunder sparks backlash after skipping White House visit with Donald Trump, citing scheduling conflicts despite NBA title tradition and Washington Wizards trip expectations.

The reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder will not visit the White House during their road trip to the nation’s capital this weekend, a team spokesperson said Friday.

The Okalahoma City Thunder (55-15) and Washington Wizards (16-53) meet Saturday at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., at 5 p.m. ET.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points as the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Wizards 132-111 on Saturday to stretch their winning streak to 11 and Washington's skid to ​15.

The Thunder (55-15) have won 10 in a row.
