The Los Angeles Lakers and superstar guard Luka Doncic have reached an agreement on a three-year contract extension, which includes a player option in 2028.

The Slovenian star and the franchise show their commitment to each other with a deal six months after the blockbuster trade with the Dallas Mavericks.

Before signing the extension, Doncic had a player option for the 2026-27 season and could have hit free agency next summer.
