SAN JOSE — A former delivery driver pleaded guilty to conspiracy Tuesday in federal court for attempting to steal $2.5 million from DoorDash by placing orders, manually assigning the orders to driver accounts he controlled and falsely marking them as completed, according to federal authorities.

Rodney Hinton’s lawyer says he will plead not guilty by reason of insanity because seeing video of his son’s death “triggered a psychiatric episode.”

A man has been found guilty of stalking a social media influencer online. Rob Keating was convicted of two counts of stalking after police said he harassed a female travel influencer and travelled to Bali to try to locate her.

A Massachusetts man pleaded guilty Tuesday to attacking a flight attendant with a broken metal spoon and attempting to open an airliner’s emergency door on a cross-country flight.

Tae Hyun Lee, a 62-year-old resident of San Jose, took a plea deal admitting his guilt to one count of aiding and assisting in the preparation of a false tax return for hiding income generated by his business Gentle Chiropractic Care from the person preparing his tax return and the Internal Revenue Service, prosecutors said in a news release.
