Top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka staved off an upset bid by resurgent Emma Raducanu at Wimbledon by beating the home favorite 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the third-round at a raucous Centre Court.

An emotional Emma Raducanu said it was tough to see the positives in her third-round defeat despite pushing world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in two tight sets. The three-time Major winner came back from a break down in both sets to win 7-6(6) 6-4 and suggested that Raducanu could return to the world’s top 10.

An emotional Emma Raducanu hit out at some ‘very wrong’ calls by Hawk-Eye following her Wimbledon exit at the hands of favourite Aryna Sabalenka. Raducanu produced a brave performance against world number one Sabalenka but ultimately fell short as she exited her home Grand Slam in the third round.
