Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast Auto is entering India's growing EV market with two premium SUVs, following strong third-quarter 2024 delivery growth and significant financial backing from its founder.

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has unveiled two all-electric B-segment and C-segment SUVs, VF6 and VF 7, that will be sold in the Indian market within the framework of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 18.

The launch event marks a significant milestone for VinFast in the promising Indian electric vehicle market. VinFast chose the VF 6 and VF 7 as its first models for the market. India is also the first market where VinFast has developed a right-hand drive version of the VF 6 and VF 7.

The company, which is investing USD 500 million to set up its manufacturing plant at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, expects completion of the facility in the second half of 2025 after which it will launch the products.
