'This behaviour is unacceptable': Police seek suspect after West Edmonton Mall sex assault
On Nov. 20, officers were called to the mall after receiving a report of a sexual assault, police said in a Wednesday news release. Officers were told a woman was riding an escalator when an unknown man came up to her from behind and “ intentionally squirted an unknown substance resembling semen onto her back and buttocks.”

Second-degree murder charge follows November killing in Edmonton
A 26-year-old man has now been charged in connection with a homicide that occurred in central Edmonton in November. An autopsy conducted on Nov. 25 determined that Burton Lee Gambler, 42, died as a result of a homicide caused by sharp force injuries. Police said the cause of death had previously been withheld for investigative reasons.
Alberta has closed one of three supervised consumption sites in Edmonton, continuing the push to shutter such locations as the province moves away from overdose prevention to focus on recovery and treatment.
