Walmart recalled Braga Fresh Marketside broccoli and the FDA just categorized it as Class 1, meaning the produce is potentially “deadly.” Here’s why.

In early January it was revealed that Walmart's washed and ready-to-eat 12 oz. Marketside Broccoli Florets were voluntarily recalled by Braga Fresh due to a possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. Although the item is no longer on shelves, consumers could still have bags in their freezer.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would like you to check if you have any broccoli in your freezer, as it may be part of a serious recall. On December 31, the (FDA) published a recall notice for Braga Fresh's washed and ready-to-eat 12-ounce Marketside Broccoli Florets.
