Once again, the Boston Red Sox embarrassed the New York Yankees on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. The Red Sox won their eighth consecutive game against their rival ( BOS 12, NYY 1 ), the first time they've done that in a single season since 2009. It is only Boston's third eight-game winning streak over the Yankees in its history.

Just like the Yankees proved who they were when they won five straight against lowly St. Louis and Tampa Bay, they’re doing it again in this series.

Answers continued to elude the Yankees on Saturday, as they humiliated themselves in a 12-1 loss to the Red Sox. The Yanks are now 1-8 against their oldest rival and a combined 4-15 against the Red Sox and first-place Blue Jays this season.

KC raced to an early lead in the first inning. Vinnie Pasquantino, who has hit a home run for three consecutive days, belted a three-run shot off Rangers starting pitcher Caleb Boushley. The homer traveled 425 feet into the right-field fountains.
