The Houston Astros were reintroduced to vintage Seth Lugo on Friday night at Kauffman Stadium. The Kansas City Royals veteran was masterful across eight innings in the club’s 2-0 victory. The Royals have now won five consecutive games after dropping six straight from April 14-19.

The Royals added another run in the sixth on another sacrifice fly. Vinnie Pasquantino led off with a bloop single and went to second on another bloop hit by Maikel Garcia. Michael Massey sacrificed the runners to second and third. Pasquantino scored on a flyout to center by Hunter Renfroe.

Michael Wacha will take the mound tomorrow against the Astros, facing lefty Framber Valdez. The Royals will look to get back to .500 on the season; they sit in the third slot of the American League currently, behind the Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers.
