Minneapolis police reforms agreed upon by the city council and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) may be reconsidered after new DOJ leaders said any agreements with police departments approved during the Biden administration would be reconsidered.

U.S. Capitol Police on Thursday said they suspended an officer who let a man with a gun into the Capitol Visitor Center on Tuesday.

A man was discovered to be carrying a gun after attending a tour of the U.S. Capitol and leaving the nearby Library of Congress.

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) said an armed man who had entered the Capitol and Library of Congress was arrested on Tuesday. USCP said it received information about a man in the area with mental health issues and suicidal thoughts who was allegedly armed.
