Tech giants are looking for more energy, but building new reactors takes time. In the AI arms race, all the major players say they want to go nuclear.

Shares of Constellation Energy, Oklo and other nuclear power companies surged following a report that President Donald Trump planned to sign executive orders boosting the nuclear industry as soon as Friday, with an ease in regulations that would streamline construction of new reactors.

The White House executive orders direct the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to license new reactor designs quickly and gives the departments of Energy and Defense power to develop projects.
