Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Boston's Copley Square on Saturday for the Pride parade while "No Kings" protesters lined the streets to peacefully demonstrate.

Protests are planned in Massachusetts and across the U.S in opposition to President Donald Trump, coinciding with his birthday and a military parade in the nation’s capital.

Cities and towns across the country held "No Kings" rallies, as a "nationwide day of defiance" against alleged corruption in the federal government, including several in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

Thousands of western Massachusetts residents rallied in the streets on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump and his administration’s policies, joining the nationwide “No Kings” movement against actions they called authoritarian.

GRANBY — Police estimated 200 to 250 people brought their home-made signs and voices to a “No Kings” protest here Saturday. It was one of more than 100 in Massachusetts and one of more than 2,000 across all 50 states.
