Madness continues Sunday with four more Elite Eight games in the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments. The women started things off, with defending champion South Carolina outlasting Duke to return to the Final Four.

The LSU star broke her nose in the second half of the Tigers’ 72-65 loss to No. 1 UCLA on Sunday afternoon at Spokane Arena in Washington. That knocked them out of the women’s NCAA tournament and sent the Bruins, who earned the No. 1 overall seed in the event, into the Final Four.

As top overall seed UCLA and star center Lauren Betts prepared for a Sweet 16 meeting with Mississippi, the Bruins’ thoughts were also on a familiar foe.

It's been almost a year since the UCLA Bruins fell to LSU in the 2024 Women's NCAA Tournament Round of 16. The Bruins held a three-point lead over the Tigers with less than two minutes to go, but the 2023 champions came roaring back to win by nine.

March Madness is nearing a fever pitch as we're nearly done with all the Sweet Sixteen games in the NCAA men's and women's basketball tournament. Both brackets are getting close to the Elite Eight, and my own tournament picks are doing surprisingly well.

Duke got it's biggest challenge of the tournament yet, but advances to a showdown against an Alabama team that just hung 113 points on BYU.
