San Diego-based fly fishing captain Dustin Sergent recently captured video of a wild encounter with a great white shark.

Some of the encounters, however, aren’t as harmless as the San Diego one. Last year, a swimmer in nearby Del Mar was bitten by a shark that was later confirmed to be a great white.
