Federal officials say a 60 colleges have been warned they could face “potential enforcement actions” over alleged campus antisemitism.

Dozens of universities across the country received a federal government warning on Monday over their obligation to protect Jewish students on campus, just as President Donald Trump's administration clamps down on pro-Palestinian protesters.

Richard Painter, a professor at the U, is urging the regents to approve the resolution. In 2023, Painter and former regent Michael Hsu filed a complaint with the federal government over statements critical of Israel that were posted to a College of Liberal Arts departmental website.
