Every year brings some form of career milestone and for the Atlanta Braves, there will and could be plenty to go around. With Spring Training quickly approaching, let’s look at some milestones that either are certain to happen or have a strong enough chance to happen this season.
There’s no question Alex Anthopoulos deserves the benefit of the doubt. As Braves general manager, he has more instances of making something out of nothing than just about every other general manager combined. Just look what he did last offseason when he acquired Chris Sale and Reynaldo Lopez for pennies.
Spring training is near. Last year, the Braves dealt with awful injury luck. They still made the postseason, but suffered another first-round exit. In North Port, they will be at full strength — almost.
