During the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ionescu didn’t rehash their stellar 3-point contest from last year, and now we know why.

League officials attempted to resurrect the Curry-Ionescu competition in some form as late as Wednesday, multiple league sources said.
Curry and Ionescu wanted to expand the showcase, but when Caitlin Clark declined to participate the plan fell apart.
