Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has undergone another surgery after rupturing his right Achilles for a second time, the team announced Friday.

Watson may miss the entire 2025 season after Cleveland’s polarizing quarterback ruptured his Achilles' tendon for the second time in three months and underwent another operation that could put his career in jeopardy.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered an Achilles injury setback on Monday, after previously tearing it during the season.

The Browns learned about Watson’s new medical situation during player exit meetings on Sunday, and said it’s too early to know what it means going forward.

Deshaun Watson’s time with the Browns just keeps getting worse. The Cleveland quarterback, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury against the Bengals in Week 7, had a setback in his recovery, general manager Andrew Berry told reporters at a press conference on Monday.
