NFL draft began Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Despite a lot of speculation around them perhaps drafting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the Pittsburgh Steelers used their No. 21 selection of the first round to fill a defensive need on Thursday night.

The Pittsburgh Steelers posted another one-and-done in the playoffs last year after ending the regular season on a five-game losing streak. The Steelers and Omar Khan continue to play the waiting game with veteran free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and were thought to be in the market for a rookie in this year's draft.
