Yankees All-Star left-hander Max Fried left a start against the Chicago Cubs after a season-low three innings because of a a blister on his left index finger.

Max Fried left his start for the New York Yankees on Saturday with a blister on his throwing hand, and the updates don't bring about much hope. Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters this : “It’s a good one. Like, he definitely had to come out.”

Nico Hoerner led off the game against Fried with a booming triple to left-center that was eventually chased down by Trent Grisham. Kyle Tucker’s slow roller to first knocked in Hoerner for the game’s first run in an opening inning that took Fried 28 pitches to get through.
