James Comer, chairman for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, on Wednesday issued a subpoena for Ghislaine Maxwell, according to a press release from his office. The subpoena came on the same day a Florida judge denied a request by President Donald Trump's administration to unseal transcripts of grand jury testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein's case.

The Department of Justice meeting with convicted Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is expected to happen today. This comes amid growing calls for the Trump administration to release the Epstein files.
