Despite a substantial lead in points, Scottie Scheffler has no starting stroke advantage in the Tour Championship. The "Starting Strokes" format was eliminated mid-season, giving all 30 players a chance to win the FedEx Cup.

BetMGM has Scheffler as +165 to successfully defend his Tour Championship and FedEx Cup titles, which can come as no great shock after he's won five of his last 10 starts. Three-time FedEx Cup champion Rory McIlroy is +800 and Tommy Fleetwood, who has three top-four finishes among his last five starts, is +1200.

Last week at the BMW Championship, Scheffler summoned the services of Michael Cromie. Cromie typically works alongside Chris Kirk but when Kirk's season concluded at the St. Jude Championship, Cromie had availability and a relationship with Scott which helped move the partnership forward.

ATLANTA – Ted Scott will return to caddie for world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler at the TOUR Championship for the FedExCup finale at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

At the BMW Championship last week, Scheffler made the switch away from Payne in Scott's continued absence. He elected to have Michael Cromie on his bag, and it ended up being the right call. Scheffler won the BMW Championship for his 18th professional title — the first without Scott as his caddie.
