A girl was bitten on her arm and received other injuries on her leg and back in a mountain lion attack, according to California wildlife officials.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, along with the county’s fire department, responded to a report of a child “attacked by a mountain lion,” deputies said in an Aug. 11 email to McClatchy News.
