Donald Trump’s preoccupation with Barack Obama — and specifically his role in probing Russia’s role in the 2016 election — reemerged in dramatic fashion.

Former President Barack Obama has hit back at Donald Trump’s claim that he engaged in a conspiracy to subvert the 2016 election, branding the allegations a weak attempt to distract from the Epstein files.

Trump indicated the decision over whether to investigate Obama was in the hands of Attorney General Pam Bondi. The House begins a five-week summer recess today, one day early, to "avoid a political fight" over the Epstein files, Reuters said.
