The title game is a rematch, which played on Nov. 8 in Lubbock. The Red Raiders ran away with a 29-7 victory over the Cougars, the only loss by BYU this season. Running back Cameron Dickey rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown to lead the way.
In their only games against playoff-caliber opponents — the double dip against Texas Tech that were effectively CFP auditions — the Cougars went 0-2 and were outscored 63-14. As a result, the Big 12 will send one team to the playoff for the second consecutive year.
BYU doesn't seem to have much chance to make the College Football Playoff after a 34-7 loss to Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship Game
