The "Wicked" star announced his departure Saturday on Instagram with a series of candid behind-the-scenes photos of his yearslong tenure at "SNL."
There will be a new episode of “SNL” on Saturday, Dec. 20 and it will be the last one for the year. Ariana Grande is expected to host with musical guest Cher. This isn’t the first time Grande will be hosting “SNL” as she hosted back in October 2024 and served as the musical guest in September 2014 and March 2024.
Bowen Yang is exiting Studio 8H. Following departures from Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner, Yang will exit the cast of "Saturday Night Live."
The entertainment news outlet reported Friday that Yang's final appearance on the show will take place on the Dec. 20 episode, which will be hosted by his friend and "Wicked" co-star Ariana Grande. Cher will serve as the musical guest. Representatives for "SNL" did not initially respond to ABC Audio's request for comment.
