On Monday night, 14 people were arrested for looting and 96 people were arrested for failure to disperse in downtown LA, the LAPD said. There was also one arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, one arrest for resisting arrest and one arrest for vandalism, police said.

The legacy media has largely downplayed the violence that has unfolded from the anti-ICE riots that have erupted in Los Angeles in recent days in response to deportation orders.
President Donald Trump has deployed 4,000 National Guardsmen and 700 Marines to LA. But California Gov. Gavin Newsom and California Attorney General Rob Bonta are suing the Trump administration, saying they unlawfully "trampled over" California’s sovereignty when they federalized the California National Guard.
"In America, we don't do kings," the No Kings website reads. "They've defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too. far. [cq] No thrones. No crowns. No kings."
Illegal immigration and deportation are serious problems but incendiary rhetoric from elected officials and violence by demonstrators do nothing to solve them.
