Leaves of red buckeye are occasionally troubled by leaf blotch and may become less attractive by late summer. These trees need full to part sun and moist soil.

It is not about deer, nor about football, but rather about a native tree called the Texas Red Buckeye. This smallish understory tree is native to our area and is particularly noticeable in the spring.
