Here's what the referees said about the controversial pass interference call against the Detroit Lions on the final possession of the game vs. the Eagles.

NBC color analyst Cris Collinsworth blasted an official's "terrible" call in the final minutes of Sunday's Eagles-Lions game.

With the Eagles facing a third down with 1:51 remaining in a 16-9 game and a one timeout remaining for Detroit, a critical pass to AJ Brown went wayward from Jalen Hurts, which would have given Lions the ball back and a chance to tie the game.

Defensively, Detroit is in for a challenge--but again, the Eagles offense has been better in theory than in practice in 2025. Their vaunted offensive line hasn't been an impenetrable fortress around QB Jalen Hurts. They're 14th in pressure allowed and they also don't block linebackers especially well in the run game.
