Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is mourning the loss of former driver Greg Biffle on Thursday. Biffle, 55, is feared dead in a plane crash with his family. A small plane, owned by Biffle, crashed at a North Carolina airport on Thursday morning.

Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and six others died in a plane crash around 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Statesville Regional Airport, the families confirmed in a joint statement.

While Biffle became well-known for his NASCAR career, in recent years, he and his family have helped those in need in the wake of natural disasters.
