Those storms were settling down Monday evening and will move out of the KTIV viewing area Monday night with clearing skies toward the morning hours. Much cooler air will continue to move behind the cold front and lows will eventually be close to 40 degrees with northwesterly winds gusting over 30 miles per hour at times.

Storms are possible in the Chicago area Monday evening and night, but the likelihood has dropped. A warm front will push high temperatures into the 80s with increasing winds by the afternoon and into the evening,

There is a marginal chance of severe weather for Tuesday with medium chances of hail, heavy rain, and wind in the evening. High pressure remains in control on Monday, allowing it to be sunny and warm.
