The executive director of the Texas Lottery Commission has resigned, the latest shake-up at the state’s retail gambling enterprise amid multiple investigations into jackpots in 2023 and earlier this year totaling nearly $200 million,

The Texas Lottery is trying to navigate tumultuous waters as its executive director has resigned and no funds have been designated for the new spending period beginning Sept. 1.
