The Tar Heels have been far and away, the best team in women’s lacrosse this season. They have played 20 games so far and have won each and every time. Jenny Levy’s team came into the national tournament after winning the team’s first ACC Championship in three years, claiming both the regular-season and tournament championships.

The top two teams in the nation will square off with No. 1 Cornell facing No. 2 Maryland to determine the champion of the 2025 NCAA men's lacrosse tournament. The Big Red defeated Penn State 11-9 in Saturday's first semifinal, while the Terrapins advanced past Syracuse with a 14-8 win in the second semi.

Maryland and No. 1-seed Cornell will play in the NCAA championship game Monday at 1 p.m. The game is at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and will be available on ESPN. Cornell head coach Connor Buczek expected to be here.
