Two teens missing in North Shore waters, search paused until morning
The National Weather Service had a high surf warning posted since yesterday for north facing shores. Ke Iki also has a reputation for being dangerous, as it claimed two lives earlier this winter. “Ke Iki beach: It’s dangerous, it’s deadly, it’s not a good swimming beach. Go to a beach where we have lifeguards,” Tinneny said.

In a public plea for help, relatives identified the two teens as 18-year-old Joey Fuijoka and 17-year-old Samantha Chun. They disappeared Friday night when waves were said to be reaching 40-feet.
