Japan's Nissan Motor is in talks to allow Taiwan's Foxconn to use one of the automaker's domestic factories to build electric vehicles, said two people familiar with the matter, a deal that could save the plant from closure.

According to new reports published by Nikkei and Reuters, Taiwanese electric vehicle upstart and electronics contract manufacturer Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.) is said to be in talks with Japanese automaker Nissan to build EVs in an arrangement that could potentially save one of the
