Can anyone tell me if there is actually a swing hanging from the old pier? I have seen photos of people sitting on one but I’m curious if this is something they set up for the photo op or if it’s always there?

yes, but you can't bring pallets or anything with nails, and it's a steep hike. I do like to build fires here, too much work. I walk here, but burn in Santa Cruz.
